Hello! Many users have been asking for tabs for our songs, and unfortunately many of their e-mails fell in the darkness of our imbox forgotten requests, victim to our own negligence. To solve the issue, we'll put them here for download. It's the six songs of our 2023 EP, and only one guitar (Lollo's) and it was tabbed by our former guitarist Enrico in order to teach him his parts. Without the fancy tuning, all of the songs could also be played in FACGCE - DAEAC#E - EADGBE and moving the capo one fret up. Hope you appreciate it

Si tratta di un gesto simbolico, che a conti fatti probabilmente ci danneggerà in qualche misura, quantomeno economicamente. A livello pratico, siamo ben coscienti che la nostra musica e i suoi modesti volumi di ascolto non farà la differenza. Non siamo neanche così ingenui da credere che le altre piattaforme / la totalità dei servizi a cui ci appoggiamo nella vita quotidiana (incluse banche etc) abbiano una condotta etica perfettamente allineata coi nostri ideali. Nè vogliamo in nessun modo ergerci a fari di rettitudine morale o puntare il dito verso altri. Semplicemente, questo è il modo più facile per contribuire a fare una minima differenza. La musica per noi è condivisione e connessione genuina. Per supportarci: venite ai concerti, comprate del merch, se vi va. Queste cose ci aiutano a finanziare il progetto (registrazioni, prove ecc) e a muoverci con un po' più di libertà, oltre che a permetterci di viaggiare più lontano. By now you'll be aware of the 690 million euros Mr. Spotify pumped into the military industry: the thing doesn't convince us, so not wanting to contribute to militar expense we decided to leave. It's a symbolic gesture, which we'll probably slightly harm us financially, doing the math. In practice, we're well aware that our music and streams won't be a real difference. We're not so naive to believe other platforms / totality of services we use daily (including banks etc) have an ethical conduct which perfectly aligns with our ideals. This is just the easist way to contribute into a minimal difference. For us, music is sharing and genuine connection. To support us: come to shows, buy merch if you want. These things help us found the band (recordings, reharsals etc) and to move around with a little more freedom, also to travel further. Ciao. Grazie alle fatiche di To Lose La Track e Legno prima nel convincerci e poi nel produrlo, le due tracce del nostro EP "Scherzo Eterno" sono disponibili in formato vinile 7 pollici (il primo nella nostra carriera) di colore rosso. Sono le prime due canzoni che abbiamo scritto insieme a Lollo e Willo, e dopo che la cassetta è stata messa fuori produzione, ora sono disponibili di nuovo in supporto fisico. A noi sembra molto bello. La copertina è sempre quella disegnata dal carissimo Vittorio. Riprendiamo le parole di Stefano:

Il Caseificio La Rosa si trova circa a 30 min da Scandiano. Ma non è questa è l'informazione più importante riguardo alla serata di sabato scorso: grazie al sommo Bob per averci voluto a bordo, all'associazione per averci ospitati e sfamati con una squisita zuppa calda, alle band, a Cristiano degli Odessa che mi ha prestato la sua testata, a chi è venuto a vederci in particolare i ragazzi di Rovigo e la leggenda che ha fatto le nostre cover di batteria, fino al boss della sala prove in cui abbiamo provato prima del concerto per la premura e i messaggi vocali. Abbiamo apprezzato i profili delle porte appena verniciati di nero, gran classe. In macchina abbiamo connesso diverse generazioni di rock ascoltando Tom Petty, Bruce Spreensting, Beach Boys, Yes e Maneskin, approcciando la loro musica criticamente e chiedendoci cosa possiamo imparare da ognuno di loro. Sicuramente agli Stegosauro mancano dei cori armonizzati. Non sembrano esistere foto ma meglio così
Hello! Today we write in English because we're giving out some info on topics that could interest also listeners from outside Italy. Our Italian fans are omniscent creatures who speak every language so there won't be any problem with this.
It ain't no secret that we are working on our new (first) LP, and if you didn't know you've heard it here! Living in four different cities makes it difficult to gather and reharse and arrange and record the new songs but we're manageing to do it, althought not as fast as we would like to. But this way we have a lot of time to think about it and listen to demos. We're aiming to hit the studio with 12 new tracks ready, and getting it done and published will take a long time for sure (we think at least a whole year from now) because of the timings of recording and life and stuff.

Still, we'd still like to share something about the record we're working on: for now, we limit ourselves to talking about some of our listenings, which we feel have inspired and influenced us during this process of writing and recording. Read: where we are going to steal from! In alphabetical order!
Acres - Silos This is a kind of obscure 00s band from New Jersey I've found in my teenage years. I've came back to only four songs they've recorded to find a sound which I think is similiar to some of the more "straight" songs we have on this album. reccomended
Beau Navire - Hours We like this band a lot and appreciate the "explosive" parts in their arrangements.
Boy Problems - Summer Tour Songs This is one of my (Alberto) favourite records ever, just perfect, i think verybody interested in emo music should listen to it. It's something which I've always had as a reference point and high standard eversince the band started and I feel that on this record (actually, since the Scherzo Eterno EP) we started to naturally lean towards this style more than to the "classic" Algernon Cadwallader sound we've worshipped so far. Twinkly guitars and math rock are still there but I repeat our last two tracks could be a kind of bridge between this two nuances of Stegosauro.
Breakwater Ale: I like the drama and the obscurity. Moreover, all Dave Wagner bands (Ache Hour Credo, M Blanket, Daddy's Hands) are great and inspirational.
The Bulletproof Tiger - Wanna Kiss About It? Our more math-rock parts have to sound at least 1/16th tight of this shit here or we can quit. So good!!
The Brave Little Abacus I (Alberto) fangirl this band and its frontman/songwriter/guitarist/singer/drummer/ideologist so much it's embarassing. Really one of my favourite musiscians ever! The eccentricity of sincere, pure emotion and creativity in their albums is outstanding and very moving to me. I've been told i have a similar guitar approach and i appreciate that, because I think it's true and I never hid my passion for this band. So despite having our own identity, I hope we could sound this powerful! must listen if you vibe with us.
Converge Even though stilistically dissimiliar, this is mainly a thing for drummers. I (Will) am much inspired by Benjamin Koller's vocaboulary in drumming. I think my apporach in writing writing fills is similiar. "You Fail Me", "Jane Doe", "The Dusk in Us" are must listens.
City of Catterpillar Ale: i like the tension of it. We're gonna have more long and more hard parts in this record.
Cowboys Aren't Indians Very elegant and great vibes... role model for the "soft" stuff in our record.
Dilute - Grape Blueprints Pour Spinach Olive Grape Same as above! Not what we are used to do but inspirational.
Kidcrash Another very creative, solid and effective band. Properties that surely could benefit our music.
Make Me Same argument as Boy Problems: I've long admired this band and I think new songs have a kind of aggressive cut which similiar to that of so-called "midwest screamo". Such an horrible label. Please never use it to describe us. Phenomenal band indeed, very very inspiring to me.
Mineral Ale: i like how sadness feel in their music
Neil Perry - Lineage Situation This is one of our favourite records ever and I will use the much outdated term "epic" to define it, aware of the disservice I'm doing to the greatness and genius of Neil Perry.
On the Might of Princes - Where You Are and Where You Want to Be. Apart for the fact this record is incredible. there are a few specific cues I feel we're taking from it. - The rythmic section sounds and arrangement are flawless as well as the songs. No filler!! - This is a monumental album, now having the opportunity of putting out an LP of 10 tracks we have more room for expression, given it's a bigger set of songs, and we aim to a similiar affect. We like punk and short, brutish songs, but also albums that feel huge, a world in its own. The Newfound Interest in Connecticut, Brave Little Abacus, Ten Grand/Vidablue are a few examples of this.
Or Else Swoon to Death An italian obscurity. Very good. I never understood who was behind this.. If you read us in some way please reach out!
Pretend - Bones in the Soil, Rust in the Oil
I (Lollo) really dig the sounds in general and I think low-dynamic sections are exceptional in this record.
Toe - The book on my idle plot on a vague anxiety I don't think this needs introductions, it's special music. Almost gives me goosebumps only thinking about it! Such beauty and sharpness from clean, simple ideas is always a good deal. Personally I love the drum sound but the others say our stuff wouldn't work with such mixing... idk
You & I
Ale: I've always liked the vocal interplay. We may or may not have additional vocals in the record.
An information for those who reached the end of the post: we are recording a promo for this autumn's run with Raein. Two demos of songs from the LP on a CD-R, available exclusively at shows.
Non si può pensare a dei rapporti reali e trasparenti senza sincerità, quindi apriamo subito con la verità più cruda: purtroppo, a noi Milano la città provoca abbastanza l'urticaria. A livello personale la troviamo in media un ambiente umano decisamente stressante, almeno per le nostre sensibilità da campagnoli di provincia. Nonostante ciò, Milano sa essere un posto accogliente: piena di carissimi amici e amiche, di gruppi fortissimi e di persone che si sbattono per creare comunità, socialità alternativa e preservare gli spazi di aggregazione in questa giungla d'asfalto. I raga e le raga di Ali Di Cera si trovano nell'intersezione di tutte queste categorie di persone speciali, e per quanto possiamo essere antipatici e caustici nei riguardi di Milano, è da anni loro, le loro band e tutte le persone a cui siamo legati rendono questa città un posto in cui tornare più che volentieri. Curiosamente, ci abbiamo suonato solo due volte! La prima volta è stata al Cox18, e ci è rimasta nel cuore. La seconda è stata questa, al LOCK, un posto che nessuno conosceva ma di cui tuttx si sono presx bene, stando ad ascoltare le voci dei e delle presenti alla serata.
Da un lato, classica esperienza milanese: abbiamo trovato traffico, siamo arrivati in ritardo, siamo andati di fretta, abbiamo bestemmiato, abbiamo suonato veloce, ci abbiamo messo comunque un sacco di tempo e ci siamo stressati. D'altro canto, è stato molto bello, abbiamo inaugurato la scaletta nuova (con 3 inediti), abbiamo visto dei gruppazzi e ci siamo fatti qualche grassa risata. Grazie Ietto, Grisi, Sandro e tuttx le persone che hanno partecipato, tra staff, musicisti, pubblico e banchetti. Ah e auguri Willo !!
Shout-out alle bande che hanno suonato: Irma (purtroppo siamo arrivati tardi e non li abbiamo visti) Ekbom (per fortuna siamo arrivati tardi e non li abbiamo visti) Die Abete (belli e bravi come sempre) Scemo (bravx) Strebla (sempre incredibili, tra i migliori sulla piazza. un saluto a Marco/Puttino, un vero soldato del rock che ha suonato con le stampelle) Laguna Bollente (simpaticissime persone e gruppo mega cool che speriamo di ribeccare in giro asap!) Hetta (dei grandi che però ho sentito da fuori perchè avevo mal di testa) Dags! (non hanno suonato però erano lì e come sempre ci hanno scaldato il cuore. è emerso che io e Marca abbiamo lo stesso incubo ricorrente)
Ora siamo cambiati e amiamo incondizionatamente Milano, le sue vibes, la sua gente e le sue vie. Al punto che ci suoneremo di nuovo, il 6 dicembre insieme ai Raein, al Circolo Magnolia. Biglietti in vendita qui. Oi!
Ora che disponiamo di questo blog, abbiamo deciso che è una buona idea pubblicare qualche foto e qualche pensiero riguardo alle date passate.
È stato molto divertente suonare nel parco Brentaviva a Fontaniva a inizio del mese scorso. Grazie mille ad Alessandro, Paolo e Stefania per la sbatta e a tuttx le persone coinvolte in questa due giorni. Un altro grande grazie ad Ambro che ha nuovamente sostituito Willo alla batteria (non ho ancora bene capito dov'era quel giorno) e che ha preso il volo per le ferie istantaneamente dopo il concerto. Un altro grande grazie ad Enrico che ha suonato una canzone con noi. Dopo due anni siamo trovati sul palco con la formazione con cui questo progetto è iniziato, e non è stata una cosa per niente una cosa che ci ha lasciati indifferenti. Siccome era il nostro primo concerto dopo la dipartita di Ozzy Osbourne a luglio, abbiamo deciso di omaggiare un vero mostro del rock dedicando una cover dei Black Sabbath cantata da Ale (l'organizzatore del festival non il bassista nostro).
A proposito, per chi non lo sapesse Ale, Enrico e Ambro suonano insieme nei Leita, che sono bravissimi e hanno pubblicato un bell'LP l'anno scorso. Sentitevelo e chiamateli a suonare!
Grazie anche alle altre band che hanno suonato: i veri rockers Junction, gli spessissi Bruno e gli strepitosi Futbolìn, che al giorno d'oggi sono già un classico (oltre che uno dei gruppi che vediamo più volentieri). Ci vediamo l'anno prossimo!
